They have determined that the infection (which they originally thought was caused by a dog bite) was the result of a spider bite. Betty is on antibiotics and is in a great deal of pain. she has been in and out of emergency rooms and is still in danger if the infection gets into her blood stream.

Betty is suffering from an infection under the surface of the skin called cellulitis. Several weeks ago she was bitten by a dog on one of her fingers and experienced some infection then, but now the infection seems to have spread throughout her body. Currently the infection is just under the surface of her skin, but it could be fatal if it moves into her blood stream.

Please pray for Betty, and for her husband, Tony, who is recovering from a heart attack. Cards and notes of encouragement can be sent to:
