Mike has not been able to come to church for several weeks.  The cold weather is very hard on him and his health has not been good this winter.  Please remember Mike in your prayers.

November 28, 2004

Mike has asked for prayers for his sister, who lost her husband to a suicide three weeks ago.  His sister and brother are both having a difficult time dealing with the loss - just as Mike is.  Please remember Mike and his family during this time of loss.

November 25, 2004
Mike was working outside and went to retrieve something from his shed.  He forgot to duck coming out of the shed and hit his head so hard that it knocked him over backwards.  He caught the doors of the shed to avoid falling and hitting his head even harder, but he wrenched his back in the process.  Mike has requested prayers for his injured back.  He is scheduled to drive to Florida next week and will not be able to if his back does not heal.

April 18, 2004
Mike had been doing some better, but his knee has been bothering him a lot. He went in for X-Rays this week and was told that he has a degenerative disk disease in his lower spine. His lower back and hip are in a great deal of pain. His knees are also very bad. They will try injecting his knees with an organic gel - to cushion them; if that doesn't help, he will have to have knee replacement surgery.

Please pray for Mike's health. And please ask God to give him comfort and encouragement, as well. Cards and notes of encouragement can be sent to:

Mike is still not back in good health. He continues to be troubled with breathing difficulties.

Please continue to remember Mike in your prayers.

Mike is improving, but he still has a great deal of pain. He was able to attend services this weekend - and even perform Special Music, but he is far from being well. Please continue to pray for Mike's complete recovery.

February 28, 2004
Mike has been struggling with his health since he returned from Florida at the end of January. He though he was fighting pneumonia, but this week the doctors said he had pleurisy (which is very painful and debilitating).

Please keep Mike in your prayers - and let him know he is in your thoughts.

Mike is a long time member of our Congregation. Mike is well known for his music ministry.
In addition to several health related trials, Mike is also dealing with health problems with his mother,
Deloris M. Stuppy, and with his brother, Dale Mayfield. Please pray for Mike and his family.
