After taking medical leave a number of times, she finally had to give up her job (doctor's orders) to reduce the stress in her life. She has had fewer fainting spells, but still has some from time to time. Please continue to remember Tammy, her husband, Chris, and her family in your prayers. May 18, 2006 The use of her right foot has improved, but she has to think about each move of her leg when she walks. The extended MRIs did not reveal any new information. They are beginning to suspect the medications that she has been taking may have caused some of Tammy's ongoing problems. For the time being, Tammy is still in Indianapolis at Methodist Hospital. Tests and therapy are ongoing. May 17, 2006 March 25, 2006 March 5, 2006
September 30, 2003 Tammy was at church Sabbath - and looking GOOD! Chris and Tammy are leaving for the Feast next Sunday, October 5, 2003. Please pray for Tammy's health and well being while they are on the road and at the Feast. September 24, 2003 Tammy is home from the hospital! It turns out that there were two sources of pain for her - One was the fluid that was prabably from a cyst that had burst and the other was scar tissue at the base of her stomach from the bariatric surgery.Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement on Tammy's behalf. Please continue to pray for her complete recovery. September 21, 2003 - 11:PM Tammy was released from Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, yesterday. They couln't find anything wrong, but expected that the pain had been caused by a cyst that had burst. As the day wore on, Tammy's pain medication wore off and she was hurting as much as before.Chris took Tammy to St. Vincents Hospital, in Carmel, Indiana, last evenig. They have run tests and have put her on a fluid only diet unitil tomorrow. Tomorrow, the surgeon who did her bariatric procedure will look at her tests and make a recommendation. Please continue to pray for Chris and Tammy. Both are very tired from the first round - and they still don't know why she is in so much pain. Last evening the doctor was very concerned about the enlarged area of the intestine and scheduled surgery for first thing this morning. He said that all indications were that the enlarged area would only grow larger until it was repaired. The tests they did this morning showed that the enlarged area was getting smaller, so the doctor thought it best to wait and see if the blockage would pass naturally. They suspect that the fluid was from a cyst on the ovaries that had burst. This evening, the fluid was almost all gone and the remaining cyst is not a concern (too small) at this time. At this writing, things seem to be returning to normal and Tammy hopes to go home in the morning - she is even hopeful that she will be able to come to church tomorrow afternoon. Thank you so much for your prayers on Tammy's behalf. September 18, 2003 - 11:PM It's 11:00 PM. We just got in and there was a message from Chris. The tests showed that Tammy has an intestinal blockage and some fluid build up (they're not sure where the fluid is coming from). The tests also indicated that she has a cist on one of her ovaries. The greates concern, of course, is the blocked intestines. Please pray that the blockage will pass on its own and that surgery will not be necessary. September 18, 2003 - 3:00 PM Chris Higginbotham took Tammy to the hospital at 3:00 AM today with severe abdominal pain. At 2:00 this afternoon they took her down for a CaT Scan. Please keep Tammy in your prayers. September 15, 2003 Tammy's tests came back negative! They continue to test to find out why she is losing hair, but she is clean for cancer at this writing.September 7, 2003 Tammy had a mole removed from her leg this week that the doctor said looked like it was cancerous. She is also suffering from symptoms that the doctors are not able to pin down. Her latest test was for Lupus, but she won't have the results for a week or so. Please pray for God's intervention and blessing on Tammy's behalf.Tammy Higginbotham 3588 West Larimer Drive West Terre Haute, IN 47885 Join us each Saturday afternoon at 2:30PM
